Evan Abramowitz is a partner at Abramowitz & Associates, LLP, where he has focused exclusively on marital and family law for over 20 years. He is Board Certified in Marital and Family Law by The Florida Bar—an honor that recognizes his status as an expert in this field.

Mr. Abramowitz earned his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the University of Florida. He also completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida.

With extensive experience representing clients in complex family law matters at both the trial and appellate levels, Mr. Abramowitz handles cases involving high-net-worth equitable distribution, alimony and support, attorneys’ fees, timesharing, and relocation. Mr. Abramowitz has had the honor of successfully arguing at all levels of the Florida courts, including the Florida Supreme Court. His dedication and professionalism have earned him recognition as a Super Lawyers Honoree and invitations to lecture on a range of family law topics.

Mr. Abramowitz is also a certified family law mediator and is often called upon by colleagues and parties in the community to assist in helping to resolve some of the most complex family law matters.

Mr. Abramowitz has been counsel in numerous influential family law cases before the Florida Supreme Court and District Courts of Appeal, including:

  • Levy v. Levy, 326 So. 3d 678 (Fla. 2021) (Florida Supreme Court finding that 57.105 did not apply to defaulting attorney’s fee provision in parties’ agreement).
  • Almeyda v. Almeyda, 400 So. 3d 22 (Fla. 3d DCA 2025) (affirming trial court’s decision that Husband was resident of Florida and court had jurisdiction over case).
  • Prichard v. Galicia, 407 So.3d 537(Fla. 3d DCA 2025) (reversing trial court’s order imposing a fine against Husband for discovery violations, finding that Husband’s rights to due process were violated)
  • Garcia v. Rivera 208 So.3d 1183 (Fla. 3d DCA 2017) (affirming trial court’s decision allowing mother’s relocation to New York).
  • Ward v. Dones, 90 So.3d 826 (Fla. 3d DCA 2012)( reversing trial court’s decision to grant exceptions to a General Magistrate’s report, finding that the trial court exceeded its authority)
  • Mantilla v. State of Florida Department of Revenue 314 So.3d 724 (Fla. 3d DCA 2021) (reversing trial court’s decision to impute income to Husband and entering an inappropriate child support award).
  • Shaw v. Shaw 413 So.3d 854 (Fla. 3d DCA 2025) ( affirming trial court’s decision to limit Father to supervised timesharing with minor children).
  • Fowler v. Walton 128 So.3d 906 (Fla. 3d DCA 2013)( reversing trial court’s decision to deny Mother’s petition for modification).
  • Salisele v. Sapicas 183 So.3d 389 (Fla. 3d DCA 2014)( reversing trial court’s award of attorney’s fees to Mother)
